Bradley Novacek and family

It is with sad hearts we learn of Jeannette's passing. After I moved away from the area post-college, it was much harder to keep track of Ed and Jeanette. I was dependent on Audie and Carol keeping me up to date which was challenging at times. I remember visiting the farmstead many times as a child, roaming the fields and grounds, rummaging through the machine shed and playing with the dogs. When Ed helped Adolph wire Joe and Rose's for a "new" stove, we stayed over with Jeanette to stay out from underfoot. During our summer stays, my grandmother Rose, my sister and I would walk over to visit Jeanette for something for us to do. it seemed cooler there with the trees along the driveway and house. Later in life, I enjoyed listening to tales from Ed and Jeanette regarding the farm and family. I always enjoyed the gatherings of the Koutsky clan as Jeanette was a good hostess. It took me quite a while to figure out who was family, who were school mates and who were just neighbors! Jeanette was always warm and welcoming to us. God bless her soul.

Carol Jean (Koutsky) Novacek

Red Oak, IA

I am sorry to hear of Jeanette's passing. Adolph (Audie) and I enjoyed Jeannette's hospitality when we visited her and Eddie at the farm. She was always warm and welcoming to our family. Over the years, we enjoyed visits, dinners, informal gatherings, drop in visits while at Joe and Rose's, and rescues from the snow! When she and Eddie moved to Omaha, we did not see them as often but still tried to keep in touch. She will be missed by many.

Annette Sekera

Schaumburg, IL

This has been such a shock to those of us who loved her. So unexpected. I still pick up the phone to call her and tell her the news of my family. During the time of our mother's illness, Jeanette was like a mother to us and maintained that relationship through the years. Earned our love and respect in so many ways. She will be missed by us all.

Aunt Jeanette was and is a wonderful person. She may not be here in person but she will always be here on spirit. I will always remember holiday dinners at Grandma's house or at my Mom. And going to Joslyn art museums. Aunt Jeanette will be missed by all.
