Mabel I. Podkovich 94

Born in Prairie City, Iowa, Mabel was a longtime resident of Bellevue, Nebraska and a dedicated 25 year volunteer at the Omaha VA Medical Center. She earned her GED at the age of 77 and spent her last years living independently in Bellevue, later moving to Papillion, Nebraska.

Preceded in death by John, her beloved husband of 51 years; one brother and three sisters; companion Fred Lagergren.

Survived by daughter Kathy Welch; grandson A.J. Macaitis; many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
