So much love for Sarah and Carley. You both are so loved by so many and he was the father who made you, you. The most amazing friend and sister.

Bernie was a wonderful person. When he choose me he accepted and truly loved all my family. From my Dad, that he helped me care for as he aged to be 90 years old. He grieved with me when when we lost my so just months after retired from the Army. He was by my side while I held my brother’s hand as he took his last breath. He was with me when I was notified my nephew was found deceased when
no other next of kin was known.
He went with me to the hospital to see and hold numerous births of “our” great grandchildren. He nurtured all of them in a way only PaPa could do! Although his favorite part was nap time with pacifiers and blankies! We witnessed together first steps and first tooths. He loved them passionately.
He also blessed me with his love for those that grew into adulthood, and those stories are still being made, he was there their greatest protector.
And finally he was so blessed when Carley came into this world! Finally his life was complete! He shared her with me as her Grandma! And “our” family will somehow move on, but it will never be complete again.
I love you, too, Bernie, my heart is broken.
