Ray treasured spending time with family. He loved to play music and cook ribs on the grill for family get-togethers.

Ray loved sports. He excelled in baseball, softball, bowling, and golf. He was invited to play in the first ever ASA All-Star game held in New Jersey in 1954. Later he became a softball coach and his team brought home a first place trophy every year. He loved playing golf with many different friends over the years. His last round of golf was played at the age of 86. He parred his last hole.

Ray loved to watch and wager on the horse races and was a popular figure at Aksarben and Horseman’s Park race tracks.

Ray never held a grudge. He was always quick to forgive and forget. His greatest attribute was his ability to find joy in other people’s happiness.

Ray always put his God first, and family and friends close behind. He lived a long and fruitful life and made friends wherever he went.
