Michael A. Caballero, Sr., 59

Michael A. "Mikey" Caballero, Sr., 59, passed away September 7, 2021. He was born July 25, 1962.

Preceded in death by his father, Jose M. Caballero, Sr.; and brother, Jose M. Caballero, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Vonda; children, Anna Anderson (Jeremy), Michael Caballero Jr., and Alisa Caballero; grandson Hunter Anderson; mother, Henrietta Caballero; brothers and sisters, John Caballero, Stephanie Grabenschroer, Christina Kaan, Annette Caballero, Allison Courtney (Jeff), Rose Gomez (Richard), and Herbert Caballero (LeeAnn); nieces and nephews; other loving family members and friends.

Mike graduated from Omaha Bryan High School in 1980. He worked for more than 20 years as a service technician for a local garage door company. Whether you were family, friend or a perfect stranger he would welcome you into his conversation and have love and compassion in his eyes and heart. Despite his many health issues, you would never see him without a smile. Mike was an avid sports fan and was often found listening to and watching multiple games at the same time on his TV and radio. His favorite football team was the Nebraska Cornhuskers and you never saw him without his favorite Husker hat.

Mikes greatest achievements were as a dedicated father and grandfather to his best buddy Hunter.
