Antanas  "Anthony"  Prismantas
January 12, 1931 -  September 26, 2020

Antanas "Anthony" Prismantas was born in 1931, on January 12 in Zemaitija, Lithuania. His family left Lithuania in 1944 during WWII to escape the Communist-Russia invasion. His family lived in Fulda Germany, then moved to Kassel, Germany where there was a large Lithuanian population. Antanas attended high school while still in Kassel. In 1950 his family boarded a boat to America, immigrating through Louisiana, and then journeying to his final destination in Omaha via train.

Antanas married Valerija Sabaliauskas, and had seven children. Their lives were full and rich with an enormous extended family and many good times were spent with them: sisters Birute (Petras), Ona (Larry) and Irena (Bob) and many in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Antanas and Valerija owned several businesses mostly centered around real-estate. They kicked butt together and then parted ways after their children were grown, but maintained an amicable relationship. He later married Birute Kazlauskas and gained another lovely daughter, Laura. Antanas was blessed by many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well, plus many family pets which he loved dearly-especially cats.

Antanas had an incredible fighting spirit with a clever and sharp sense of humor which he remembered to apply to all his adventures in life. He had a warrior spirit, daredevil attitude and was always ambitious to take on any wager that life had in store for him. He seemed to skirt calamity and always land on his feet. This earned him the nickname of Cat. Antanas also found great strength and peace in his faith. Antanas left for his heavenly adventures on Saturday, September 26th, 2020. He was in peace.
