February 3, 1946 -  March 13, 2021

Helen Elena Donna Cotton (Kovas), 75

Born February 3, 1946, in Germany to Pranas and Ona Kovas. Helen immigrated to the United States at age 3. Her and her family became members of the St. Anthony parish and the Omaha-Lithuanian community where she made life-long friendships and cherished memories. Helen graduated from Omaha South High School in 1964. She loved to travel in her youth, with a stint living in Chicago, an infamous trip to NY, where she just missed Woodstock and a summer with her sister Vida’s family in Italy as a highlight she replayed all her years.

She married Harley F. Cotton in September of 1972 and had two daughters. Helen worked as a dental assistant and made a life in Lincoln with good friends. The couple moved to Omaha after retiring in 2004. Helen enjoyed a life surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed the lake life, being a member of the Omaha Lithuanian Women’s Club, and caring for her children and grandchildren with the intent to take stress away from her girls so they could live their best lives.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her husband Harley; her daughters Julia (Jason) Hoult and Natalie (Matt) Wheeler; grandchildren Will, Blane, Amelia and Tolley Wheeler, Jack and Adriana Hoult.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Regina Arnauskas, Grazina Reskevicius and
Vida Hanson.

She is survived and loved by her sisters Dalija Korte and Rita Kovas (Weinstein); many family and friends, including a bevy of nieces and nephews.
