Joan M. Rosman, 89

Joan Marie Laube Rosman was born to Henry and Cecilia Laube on March 11, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri. She had two sisters and one brother. She attended Catholic school before her family moved to Harlan, Iowa during her high school years.
There she met Richard Rosman who later became her husband. They were married on August 28, 1952 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan while Rich was on leave from the U.S. Navy. Joan and Rich eventually settled in Omaha, Nebraska with their four daughters: Suzi, Marcia, Laura, and Lynne.
Joan attended St. Joseph’s Nursing College in Omaha where she became an RN. She worked most of her career with Doctors Lewis, Lewis, and Watson. She was active in her children’s lives and later was active with her grandchildren and numerous clubs with her friends. Joan resided in the family home in the Karen Western addition for the remainder of her years.

Preceded in death by husband Richard; son-in-law Kurt Lyons.

Survived by daughters Suzi (Dave) Wilson, Marcia (Pat) Kirlin, Laura (Jeff) Monahan, and Lynne Lyons; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother John (Milly) Laube; sister Marian (John) Santi.


Interment Saturday, April 17th, 10:00am at the Harlan Cemetery, 911 12th Street, Harlan, Iowa
