Preceded in death by husband John.

Survived by children John Smailys and Christine Smailys; grandchildren Jonathan, Trevor and Emma; brothers Jerry (Karen) Sterba and John Sterba; sisters Janet (Mark) Warneke and Susan (Jeff) Dvorsky; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Karen will be greatly missed and never forgotten. With the upcoming holidays approaching and so many needs, please donate to a charity of your choice.


Karen will be laid to rest next to her husband John, at the Omaha National Cemetery; Section 1, Site 272.
