Patricia  Prusha (Moriarty)
August 13, 1960 -  December 31, 2021

Patricia Prusha, 61

Preceded in death by parents Charles "Chick" and Janet Moriarty.

Survived by husband and soulmate, Dan; daughters Sara (Andrew) Radil, Jane (Justin) Gunderson, Annie Benson (Mike Andrick), and Dani Prusha; granddaughter Kenna Radil; sisters Micaela Moriarty (David Blair), Marla Cross (Jerry Boston), and Jacki (Dean) Will; many other loving relatives and friends.

Patricia ‘Pat’ “was the smartest person I know,” said everyone who knew her. Her family has always loved to talk about how she got all A’s and only one B+. She graduated from Bryan High School in Omaha, where she met the love of her life and high school sweetheart, as the sociable prom queen and cheerleader. She attended the University of Nebraska Kearney for academics and cheerleading. Graduating with the highest honors in an applied mathematics master’s degree from the University of Nebraska Omaha.

To Pat, being an actuary over the last three decades was not work, it was passion. She worked hard and played harder, her family’s engine, balancing her profession and leading family vacations, pool parties, dinners, holiday gatherings, shopping, sports, horseshoes, bowling, billiards and pinochle.

Endless generosity to all, completely selfless, never without a gift for family, friends, even friends of friends. Instant connections, admired by and inspired all who entered her life. Every single thing she did, she did just right.

You could find Pat in Miami South Beach, Branson and New York. Lover of the water, when not at the beach Pat was at ‘Prusha Paradise’, the backyard resort she designed to perfection,
surrounded by endless family and friends for pool parties playing water volleyball from dusk till dawn. As the scorekeeper, her brains and confidence showed, never a missed calculation, even correcting opposing team’s scores.

Their love story for the ages, Pat and Dan inseparable, everything they did together from shopping to folding clothes, it was a date. Dan, shaking with nerves from their first date at a football game in Berquist Stadium, through 25 years of marriage, beginning in the Smoky Mountains, the wedding and adventurous white water rafting honeymoon planned to a ‘T’ by Pat.

Pat loved bringing her family and all friends together by treating them to dinners at her hot spot restaurants and home. She not only hosted the parties she was the party. A class act, fashion icon, fearless and competitive winner, Pat knew exactly what she wanted in every aspect of life, and she got it. She coached her daughters in life, love and work, beaming in their successes.

Forever loved as a wife and soulmate, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, in-law, friend and coworker. In Pat’s own words “Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)".

Interment Omaha National Cemetery, Monday, January 10th, 2:00pm
