Lea Ann (Ward) Rischbieter died January 4, 2022 at 0120. In the last stage of Alzheimer’s disease with a Covid19 positive infection, she decided to gift her daughter a final present – one day to grieve for her parents, you see 8 years ago at 0410 on the same day her first husband James died.

She is preceded in death by her husband Carl; parents Marvin and Bonnie; and brothers Ricky, Junior, and Richie.

She is survived by daughter Cynthia (Williams) Dugan; grandchildren Nathaniel, Josephine, Ian, Jeremiah, and Layla; and sisters Sheila Cassar and Janice Geoienty; a host of friends and extended family.

She was born in Thomas, Oklahoma on November 8, 1945 and on July 23, 1967 she graduated Central State College at Edmond, Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Throughout her life she loved to learn; she enjoyed reading many genres and varied stories, gardening, her many animals, painting and drawing, playing Myst, and a love for Werthers original caramel hard candies.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that any memorials be made as a donation to the Alzheimer’s foundation or another charity in her name.
