Sarah Andrade, 82

Sarah passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 while surrounded by family, friends and loved ones. Sarah was born in Lyman, Nebraska and moved to Omaha with her parents and sister Angie.

The family settled in South Omaha and became part of a community that was mixed with different cultures and ethnicities.

Sarah may have been small in stature, but was fierce, loyal and loving. Sarah married Ruperto Andrade on December 19, 1959 and soon started a family. Sarah and Ruperto had four kids, but opened their house to many neighborhood kids to share food and fun. Sarah was very artistic and her hobbies were drawing, ceramics and wearing the most colorful and eccentric hats that one could imagine. Sarah's most cherished hobby was socking the person in the arm if they said a foul word in her presence.

Sarah is free now and will be missed. She enjoyed life and appreciated all the people that touched her life.

Preceded in death by husband Ruperto; parents Benito and Dorothy; son Dino.

Survived by children Ruperto (Rose), Greg (Jenn) and Monique; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Angie Sandoval.
