It’s so difficult to bid farewell to Paul. He was a favorite uncle and my mother’s beloved baby brother. As a child he was once my protector when there was no other. I will miss his voice calling me Pete, his ageless blue Martin eyes, the unchanging crew cut. I remember his youthful sacrifices to buy a Philco radio to follow his passion for music, his continued love of polka. His tender nature was reflected in the love he had for his children, for the repeated gardens he nurtured year after year. He was a man of great character and love. May the family take comfort knowing he was so generous and honorable, and may the memories of his love fill all the absence he leaves. Tuesday, June 25, 2019 |
