I wish to express my deepest condolences. I was a neighbor many years ago, and Mrs. Mathouser was a great influence to me, although she did not know this. I was impressed from a young age that she went to work every day, drove her own car-things my father did not support for women, but which, as a role model, came to be very important images to me as I traveled throughout my adult life. I think sometimes we don't know how we affect those who simply see our lives. I remember what a nice human being she was, to me and other children in the neighborhood, as well. Debbie and family: I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear and wonderful mother. I first met your mother at Hillcrest when my mother was in rehab and that began a wonderful friendship. She immediately recognized us from St. Bridget's church. Your mom was the sweetest and dearest lady and I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to be her friend. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
