I am so sorry to hear about your mom and your sister. She was a great mother and always there for the Brandt kids when we needed her as we were growing up. She never hesitated to set us straight if needed with a gentle tone, smile and lemon bars! She was the best baker! She will be missed by everyone who knew her. My condolences to all of you. I will not be able to be at the visitation today and for that I am very sad. Rose was my ‘big sister’ and as the oldest she seemed to feel a special responsibility to the rest of the siblings. Whenever there was some crisis in my family, she would call. Whenever there was a special occasion there would be a card and note. When I talked to her on Easter she talked a lot about her kids. She was a constant—always there and always praying for others to be OK—and now she is gone. She will missed by a lot of people. To all of her family—you have our condolences.
