My deepest sympathy for your loss. Your mother was a beautiful woman inside and out.

Many years ago, when we were in high school, I worked with Carmen and her mom at the Bohemian Cafe. My recollection of Carmen was that she had a bright personality and a was such beautiful person inside and out. It is tragic how Carmen died. But her daughter's words have stuck with me since hearing this news. Mental illness is ignored. Many people are left untreated and resources are scarce. I'm sure that Carmen did everything she could to help her son get the treatment he needed. But there is a huge deficit in the mental health world. I pray that Carmen rests in peace, and that more services become available for the mental health folks.

My deepest sympathies to the family of this wonderful person. I'm sure they know that I am there for them, especially her girls and grandchildren. Carman was one of my dear friends for the last 20 years and this is such a tragic loss. I watched her family grow up. As she was a neighbor for many of those years. We've had our ups and downs but we always had each others backs. She was one of the most caring people I've ever known. Even when she had nothing she would give herself and anything that she had to help you. My heart is broken. But I know that she is in the Lords Hands and with her dear mother Cecilia. Because if there is one certain thing in this life that would be that she was the most faithful person I knew. And I owe her the world for helping me find my faith again. She will be greatly missed far beyond any words that I can say. Rest in peace Carm. I know you will watch over your family and friends. Because that is what you have always done. That is your grand legacy.
