World War II Army Veteran. Honorary member Omaha South High School Class of WWII. Retired from UPRR in 1977 as a commissary employee with 36 years service. Won Edith over with a smile and a dance at the Chermot Ballroom in Omaha in 1942. They married in Verdigre,NE on July 17, 1943.
Loving and devoted husband and father. Took joy in life's everyday moments. Enjoyed tending to his yard and garden, sharing fresh tomatoes and zucchini with neighbors, grocery shopping and playing pinochle and SkipBo with family. Never met a dessert he didn't like. Natural ear for music. Loved singing, polka music and dancing. Taught himself the harmonica at age 85. Christie Heights Bingo Caller. Usher St. Thomas More Church.
