Kathleen A. "Kathy" King, 71
Kathy was born on February 18, 1954 to Ernie and Phyllis Bohac. She passed away on May 9, 2025. She was raised in South Omaha and was the oldest of four children.
Kathy was married to Steve for more than fifty years. Together they raised two beautiful daughters, Amanda and Kate. She was very involved in the lives of her granddaughters, Lucia and Sofia.
She started her career at Hinky Dinky, dabbled in real estate for a few years, and then went on to work for First National Bank of Omaha for more than a quarter of a century.
Throughout her life, she traveled far and wide, read thousands of books, which she often shared with others, and saw hundreds of plays and dance performances.
She will be missed by many. She is survived by her mother Phyllis; husband Steve “Watson”; daughters Amanda “Mandy” and Kate; granddaughters Lucia and Sofia; son-in law Kevin; brother Frank and his wife Karen, brother Steve “Herman” and his wife Linda, and sister Cindy; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Ernie and great niece Rylee.
Memorial services will be at Korisko Larkin Staskiewicz Funeral Home, 5108 F St. in Omaha, at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 16, with a Time of Reflection at 10:30am before the service.
We invite those in attendance to wear paisley, polka dots, sequins or animal print. Kathy will be buried at sea at a later date.
After the funeral services, there will be a luncheon at the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), 4515 F Street, Omaha, NE 68117.
