In Loving Memory of
C.R. “Barney” Buttner Age 86, born Feb. 11, 1930 in Baltimore, MD.
He passed away Feb 23, 2016, surrounded by his loving family in Omaha, NE.

Preceded in death by parents, George and Eva Buttner and sister, Eleanor Dorn.

Survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Phyllis (nee Krupski),
Daughter, Kristine (Tom) Patton;
Sons, Richard (Pam), Stephen, Philip (Ann) and John (Jeck-Jenard Navarrete) Buttner;
Nine grandchildren, Leslie (Jarod), Kelly (Chuck), Ashley, Matt (Ali), Kristin, Shannon, Luke, Zach and Andy.
Two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Atley. Barney also leaves behind many beloved friends.

Barney was the owner and President of Buttner Plumbing for over 30 years and is a past president of the Mechanical Contractors Association. He sponsored many bowling and youth sports teams, including Buttner Plumbing football. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed spending time at the lake house and in Maui with his wife. Barney was a long term member of numerous organizations, including the South Omaha Optimists, Cosmopolitan Club, Holy Cross Men’s Club, and American Legion. He also served as an Omaha city official. Barney proudly served his country as a cryptographer in the USAF during the Korean War. He rarely met anyone he didn’t call a friend and was a loving, fun, and generous man.
