Everett Yates, 95

Passed into glory January 26, 2024.
Born to Ernest and Mary Katherine Yates, May 16, 1928 in Pawnee, Nebraska.
Preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, JoAnn Yates.

He leaves his legacy to his sons, Lyle A. Yates (Connie) of Omaha, NE and Randle L. Yates of Shelby, Iowa; grandchildren Anthony Prise (Susan), Collin Lewis (Meghan), Vincent Michael (Michelle), Ryan Layne, Jerad Michael, Shaylee Marissa; 15 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Joyce Slezak, numerous nieces and nephews; companion, Mary Kay Wallace.

Everett was released from active military service and transferred to army reserve to complete 8 years service under Universal Military Training and Service Act.

Everett was an accomplished musician in the Omaha area. Inducted into Nebraska Music Hall of Fame in 2019.
