Ann  M.  Thompson (Albers)
October 6, 1952 -  March 9, 2024

Ann Marie Thompson (Albers), 71

Ann Thompson (Nanny) passed away on March 9th, at her home in Ralston, Nebraska surrounded and embraced by her family. Ann was born on October 6, 1952, in Omaha, Nebraska to Louis and Evelyn Albers. She was the third of ten children, survived by 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Ann attended Holy Ghost Catholic School and graduated from Bryan High School in 1970. She was united in marriage to Robert Thompson in 1971. She and Robert lovingly raised two daughters, Sherry and Jenny. Ann worked as a bookkeeper at Faulk Enterprises the majority of her life; her co-workers were like family to her. She enjoyed spending time with family, writing cards and letters, going to Christian concerts, helping others, and reading. She was a devoted member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and volunteered at All-Play Miracle League. Ann enjoyed a life full of faith, family, and friends.

Above all else, Ann will be remembered for her selfless heart and devoted love for God. She was kind and always thinking of others. Ann was a giver, and loved to share a good book, a compliment, and helpful advice. She taught her six grandchildren the importance of faith and family. The last year of her life she suffered greatly but made it a point to stay positive and never complain. She was an angel to all those who were blessed to know her, and a shining example of how to die with courage and faith, uniting her sufferings to Christ.

Ann is preceded in death by her father and mother, Louis and Evelyn Albers; and her father and mother in-law Donald and Joan Thompson.

She is survived by husband, Bob; children, Sherry (Chad) Cederberg and Jenny (Jim) Thompson-Zelfel; and her six grandchildren Kristin (Jake), Elizabeth (Matt), Jacob (Tatum), Caitlyn, Megan (Jack), and Colton; and great-grandchildren, Greyson and Spencer.

All are invited to a luncheon at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church social hall after the interment.
